  5.     An online game where you compete against 24 of your fellow users.
  6. The object is to become the first investor to increase your net worth to
  7. $1,000,000 or more.
  8.  
  9.     All seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.
  10. Investors will start with $50,000.  You must visit the Stock Market at
  11. least once every 10 days or your seat will be sold to make room for other
  12. investors.  Any investor that owns no stock and whose cash holdings fall
  13. below $100 will also have his seat sold.

  16.    There are 9 options available in the Stock Market.  They are:

  29. THE BIG BOARD:  From here, you can view all the different companies that
  30. area available.  Also listed are the current number of shares available
  31. and the price per share.  These prices may change whenever an update is
  32. done.  Listed at the bottom are the volume traded and the price index.
  33. The volume traded is the number of shares that have been bought or sold
  34. today.  The price index is the net change of all companies listed for sale.
  35. Both variables show the current days stats and are reset after midnight.
  36.  
  37. YOUR PORTFOLIO:  This is where you may view a breakdown of your
  38. individual investments.  You will see all stocks owned, the number of
  39. shares owned and the amount of cash you have available.  Listed next to
  40. shares owned is the net change for that company since scheduled upkeep.
  41. If at any time your cash falls below $-1500 you MUST sell off enough
  42. assets to satisfy the debt or your seat will be sold when you leave.

  44. LIST INVESTORS/NET WORTH:  This is a list of ALL investors and their
  45. current Net Worth.  All players are listed in the order in which they
  46. were admitted to the Stock Market.

  48. CHECK A COMPANY/SHAREHOLDER:  This option allows you to view each
  49. individual company and see who has invested in it as well as how many
  50. shares they own.  Listed across the bottom is the net change in price of
  51. that company's stock.

  53. VISIT YOUR BROKER:  At this option, you may buy and sell your stocks.
  54. Please note there is a 5% Brokerage Fee for all transactions.  Five
  55. shares is the minimum amount that may be transfered when buying or selling,
  56. up to the maxium available.  You may only invest in 7 different companies,
  57. at which time you must sell all of one before you would be able to buy
  58. another.  But you may add to the number of SHARES at any time, regardless of
  59. how many companies you own.

  61. UPDATE STOCK PRICES:  You may do only ONE update per call.  An update will
  62. automatically bring the Big Board to current status, adjusting prices
  63. accordingly.  All dividends (if any), will be paid to ALL stockholders of
  64. that company regardless of who does the update.  Any player that leaves
  65. the Stock Market without doing an update will have it done automatically.

  67. STOCK MARKET NEWS:  The news option will show you any major events that
  68. have taken place in the last two days.  Any dividends that are paid get
  69. recorded here, along with any player that lost their seats, and when a new
  70. game is started.
